Where did that gun come from? The flat top checkering was filled with sand. Took a week with a dental pick to clean out the checkering. All good now.

The so called "Thumb-Cut" found on the left side rail of a Mauser has nothing to do with loading the rifle. This is found on both commercial and military rifles. MP Sadly Deceased as of 2/17/2014
