Congrats. Rabbit. I have not a complaint on the Super I picked up a few months ago. I my opinion the Super has superb balance and makes a great upland gun

I picked up a 30" 3" 12 ga 1970 in vegas that was about 99%, almost unfired with a couple of stock dings for $900 two weeks ago.

rabbit,
All right, congrats!!
A 30" barreled SP with a standard rib and 2 3/4" chambers is a target breaking machine IMO. I know everybody's idea of great gun dynamics is different, but that gun is what I'm genetically designed to shoot (+ 1" LOP, )

I like the round knob semi-pistol but this grip isn't closed up that much. I also like the 28" barrels of my much-denigrated and "savory" Diana 12 field but it is a heavier gun overall probably due to the black walnut stock as well as the standard barrels. The thinwalls are delicate (particularly that cyl.) as are the muzzles but all were in good condition and I hope to keep them that way.

Pulled the hammers and replaced both firing pins altho only the bottom was pitted. Some ham-handed peckerwood had previously replaced bottom pin and didn't line up the retaining slot with the crosspin as the pin was shaved a bit and mushroomed right end because he decided to just whang it back it there come what ever. Looked like it had never been stripped and cleaned. I'm not going to either but whished the action around in a couple cans of kero and blew it out with the blowgun, then a little RemOil and blew that out.
