Stan, I think both of these guns were exhibation guns. Documenting when and where they were exhibited and for what reason is the research task ahead. Since no tarnish on inlays, white and rose gold would be my guess. Maybe platinum?? Joe Loy certainly knew how to push a graver.

May I ask who did your restoration? Case colors are very good. Stock a bit to glossy but the rest of the work great.

The fella that did this wishes to remain anonymous. He doesn't do it professionally and I picked up this gun after he advertised it on GunBroker many yrs ago. The casehardening was Turnbull as I understand it. I agree on the stock finish, if comparing to original. Still, it's a beauty.
