Just found out that the little Chapuis Series 3 (built on 28 Ga frame) double rifles in 30-30 are regulated for the Hornandy 30-30 160 gr leverevolution round. Anyone use these?
Ballistics do loook a bit better than the standard flat point and RN loads.
makes deciding even harder. From what I have read, the LR 30-30 rounds are realy performers. need feedback.
ALways a wrench in the works!!!
How do you think killing power compared to 30-06 180 gr at 200 yards and below?
I have used 30-06 for 30 years and never used a 30-30 0n anything.

Those Leverlution rounds from Hornady are very nice.

They expand every bit as well as any other poly tip round.

My Winchester 94 likes them better than my Marlin. (sold the Marlin years ago)

The round is about 200fps faster than "traditional" loads, but, it's the polymer tip that helps out mostly.
