So you do S/S conversions but not O/U?

Reason? I'm guessing the O/U action has some issues?

And If I may...how regulated is that 20 ga? 2 inches at 50 or better?

And if you change loads you're dead in the water....unless you ger real lucky??

Thats correct, some times you get lucky, o/us are the same, the rifles can get 1 inch at 100 yds. Rich.

So you have done a number on S/S actions but no O/U...why?

And I am ignorant about some of this but if you stick with lower pressure rounds doesn't that open up the field of actions that can be used?

Not that a 38-55 or a 35 Rem is not a whole lot higher pressure than a 20 ga but they are much lower than, say a .308??

I think our posts are crossing.

I went to the Shot Show this weekend in Orlando and the Conn. Shotgun Company had a miniture .22 there that was partially finished. I think 4 1/2 pounds. It still needed extractors and firing pins and more....

And let me tell you, the Shot Show was something. It took us 2 days, all day, to work our way through it.

Fishdock, my 4570 are for high pressure rounds (mariln etc. )I only build on rimmed cases, have done o/u but there are factory o/u out there. the sxs are the hardest to build, thats why there are none. I am a died in the wool sxs hunter. I am semi retired now, have been a Gunsmith for 42 years, i only do doubles now. Got to go lock up the shop, talk to you later. Rich
I will post some pics. of the twenty gauge tommorrow, i have 2 to build. The 22 is 27 in long, the action is 1 in. wide, lenth of pull 8 1/2 in , bbls 16 in.

AkMike the only guy that I know that does that is George. I can't think of his last name at the moment. He lives a few miles from me. When I've talked to him my impression is that he only converts LC's. We'll both be at the Palmer Lions show March 3 and 4th.
