"British gunmaker Jack Rowe will be teaching an NRA-sponsored course on gunsmithing English and European guns at Murray State College OK June 28th thru July 2nd 2010. This will be the 16th year of teaching this course at Murray.

Subjects covered include,

Gun Identification and examination
Proof Marks and their meanings, and barrel safety.
Fitting new Firing Pins correctly and heat treatment
How to make and harden a Spring
Stock bending
Much more, extensive coverage of Boxlock and Sidelock guns

This course is useful for gunsmiths, gun dealers and anyone interested in English & European guns.

Mr Rowe shares the knowledge gained from 64 years in his trade

Attendees are asked to bring as many English or European guns as they can, needing repair or not.

I hope that Jack is feeling well enough to do it. I sent him a shotgun for a simple repair and he just couldn't get to it because of the Parkinson's.
