Need help on an odd gun. A friend received an Austrian double rifle that was reported to have been purchased from Flaigs in the early 50's. It came with 2 boxes of 22 Savage Hipower ammo however on inspection they don't go with the rifle. The chambers appear to have counterbores for a rimmed (or semi-rimed) case but the extractors have the conventional pins for rimless applications. Just in front of the barrel flats ther is a 220 stamp on each barrel. Does anyone have an old Flaigs catalog that could help identify whether there ever was a 220 swift double? We're going to make chamber casts however in the interim I thought I'd put feelers out. Thanks, Ed edelundberg@msn.com
