Gary,
My Victor Sarasqueta Model 7E has the Nº7E engraved in the long tang trigger guard, my guess is that yours should say in the same place.
Regards.

Gary, I'd say your gun is a higher grade than a 4E. Mine was imported by Stoeger back in the 50's and is marked "Zephyr 4E" but your engraving is far more intensive than that on my gun. Yours looks to be a real beauty in very fine condition. The guns by Victor Sarasqueta (sidelocks) are real sleepers. Mine (a 20 ga.} is well over 50 years old and all springs and sears are fine and crisp. The ejectors are perfectly timed and shoot the empties 6 feet behind the shooter. Mine is coin finished, splinter with pistol grip, fine checkering and drop points. Enjoy your beauty! And thanks for posting the excellent photos. Chopperlump

ejsxs, no sort of writing outside "victor sarasqueta" and the proof stamps and the serial number. I've looked over all areas with a flashlight... Gary

Chopperlump, I actually like the VS better as far as looks and feel. I have not fired either one, but I have ejcted empties out of both, and you're right, they do toss them far!! Thanks Gary

And this one was a 20 bore two barrel set I used to have. It was apparently a 6E or 7E JC

Do the 7E's have that hand detachable side screw? My VS does not, though the engraving is sharp! Gary

JayCee: I bet you wish you had that lovely 20 bore Victor Sarasqueta back! I'd never let one like that leave my hands. What a masterpiece! Chopperlump

Gary's gun looks a lot like some of the 6E's I've seen.

Gary,
sorry to be away from my desk, yes mi VS Nº7E has a hand detachable side screw. But we have to remember that this was an optional item that some middle men and costumers did not like for different reasons.
Regards.

Your gun resembles a 6E. My opinion. You might want to run this through the folks on the Spanish Forum at Shotgunworld...they would swarm this thread with useful information.

My 1974 Victor Sarasqueta catalogue pictures your gun. It is the model 6 without auto ejectors and the model 6E with ejectors. For many years I owned a 20 G model 7E it was exactly as illustrated in an earlier post.

Thanks to all. I guess I was wrong in my guess that it was a 4E. Seems at the minimum it is a model 6. I'll be sure to change the notes that I have on this one. Gary
