I just think that a more conservative approach would have sufficed for a $6,000 double rifle. Or, in other words, put the money into the action and the barrels, keeping the rest conservative and not into somewhat awkward looking aesthetics.

treblig1958,
I most certainly agree with that.
With kind regards,

P.S.: Still cannot post photo directly (?).

It looks like a Jurasic Bloodhound as interpreted by Warner Brothers cartoons

as to posting this particular picture, and a hint for others; when you go to the original website and copy/paste the URL/Link for the picture pay close attention to how it ends. The actual image is a ...jpg BUT their software adds some extra code to that which screws up the actual image link.
what I had to do is delete the extra junk from the http//.....jpg link when pasting it here inside the [img] tags.

The closeup image can't be seen because it is blocked by the web service. it looks like Juan Carlos saved it to his own site but it doesn't allow general access (It shows an "unauthorized" message instead of the picture.

Hi Lee,

Its my first "album" using Gallery from Apple and I am not yet familiar with it.
Thanks for the heads up on the extra code added.
Here is the close up:

I definitely like the look of that one Pete. But I would be afraid to spend only $3,600 for a double rifle, unless it was a used British gun.
How finicky a rifle is let alone a double rifle, you would certainly have to keep your fingers crossed, hope and pray that the bulk of that price was put into regulating the barrels or the regulator was retired and independently wealthy.
What do you do if you get a double rifle with barrels that are so whacked that they can't be regulated and shoot all over the place.
