Mac, The only way to help you is to post the serial number.
When taking the barrels from the receiver make sure that the gun was fully opened and recocked before taking the forend off and barrels or else you will put too much pressure on the forend wood and possibly cracking the wood putting it back together.
On the receivers water table will be some patent dates and opposite side will be serial number and should have a number 2 for the grade.
1909 would be a Grade 2, in 1913 grade numbers were changed to nouns and this gun would not have a 2 stamped on it for it to be a 1929 gun.
Most of the 10 ga. had Damascus barrels, but could be ordered with Crown Steel barrels by this time.
If you join the organization it is $25.00 a year and the cost of the letter is then $40 compared to a non-member for $60.00.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.
