Tried to find out info on this maker on SGW; only got one response that they went out of business in about 1995.

I see others on GA and GI, but they are case colored boxlocks. Mine as you can see is coin. It has a date code of 1981.

Would like to know more about the maker and about what the gun would be worth. Thanks for your input.

Bluebook only lists one boxlock Beschi model and says $1650 at 100%. They list the sidelock at $12,000. Cabela's has a couple of the sidelocks for a good bit less. Cannot recall having seen a boxlock Beschi--other than the rejected Ithaca Classic Doubles renamed as Beschis--in a very long time.

Here are four case colored boxlocks on GI w/ejectors. Mine doesn't have ejectors. BTW, thanks Larry.

Larry, was the gun in the BB case colored or coin?

I read, it seems, on a forum that there was some kind of a problem with some of the guns they made for Classic Doubles in the late 80s. As I mentioned, mine is a 1981.

I see one Beschi at Gulf Coast Guns (model 707 imported by Richland Arms) priced at $1495 with most of the finish but it isn't a monobloc gun. Who is the importer and do you have a model number? As with many Italian companies I think you will see quite a bit of variance in quality and price.

I knew Beschi made the 707s. Breda Acacier is on the right barrel but I am pretty sure that means Breda steel as I understand they supplied barrels for a number of Italian makers. Mario Beschi is on the left barrel, table and flats. I can't find a model number anywhere on the gun.

Now that you mentioned it, none of the Beschi's appear to be monobloc.

Patriot, the Blue Book does not specify CC vs coin finished. Just says light engraving.

Re the Richland 707, I was under the impression that at least some of those were made by Prandelli-Gasperini. Surprised to see that Beschi connection in the Gulf Coast ad. I owned a couple 707's, but long ago, and I'm pretty sure that at least one of them was a Prandelli-Gasperini gun. Could be Richland used more than one Italian maker. They did import from a variety of Italian and Spanish companies.

Larry, I don't remember where I saw the Beschi/707 connection; might have been the add Snipe Hunter mentioned.

There are two Prandelli/Gasperini by Richmond on GB. Doesn't say what model but they look to be sidelocks, but somewhere I discovered they may be false sidelocks. They have been on there for months. It seems sometime ago I saw a boxlock 707 by Prandelli on GI but it's gone now. I too was surprised to see the Beshi/707 connection.
