Can anyone tell me what jump gap, projectile to rifling I should have on my Stephen Grant 500BPE, current reloads are around o.125 or just over 3mm.

I am also getting a new mould for 400grn projectiles, what antimony should I aim for when casting these projectiles and will I need gas checks.

Any advice much appreciated

Richard

Richard,
I have a 450 BPE and vintage shells place the bullet almost touching the lands.
I have found that the distance is very dependent on components and gun and varies. Experiment-experiment-experiment!
