Some interesting photos of a higher grade Meriden hammerless 12 converted to a 45-70 double rifle. Note the remainder of the damascus barrels and the engraving. Not anything I'd want to get close to at the range or in the field, but another for PeteM's logbook.

I saw that. Wrong choice of a donor gun. I contacted the seller. He claims not to know the serial number, "selling for friend" or something. I only chase them so far....

I was recently contacted by a gentleman in Bangkok Thailand, who had a AJ Aubrey and was looking for info. So far, they have shown up in about 10 countries.
