I have an 80 year old 20 ga. Nitro Special which seems in good enough shape except for some slight wood shrinkage and a bit of play at the hinge pin, which I cured with a soldered .002 shim. Everything seems to work alright but there is a slight feeling of forend looseness when I move the top lever to unlock the action. Seems as though there is a miniscule gap between pressure points at knuckle and forend curvature to fit knuckle. What can I do about this? Anybody got any thoughts on it? Maybe a shim is needed at this point? Thanks loads for any input. CHopperlump
