OP 12brd Sidelock Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 711 Likes: 1	I'll use whatever gun the members decide get the most votes for tomorrow on pheasants. Opening day is tomorrow for pheasants and quail. Could be some long walking. Choices are LC Smith Ideal 16 ga. full full, Win 21 12 ga cyl, mod, LC Smith 12ga FW Mod Full, Win 21 20 ga Mod Full. I'll post pics of dogs and gun if I get anything or not. Lets have some fun with this. JW

It is internationaly acknowledged that the English made and make best bored barrels. Don't take it the wrong way, but there isn't much to pick from the list you have provided. May I suggest something of Birmingham manufacture with Sir Joseph Whitworth Fluid Compressed steel barrels?

Timothy S Sidelock Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 640 Michigan	I would go with the LC Smith FWT 12 gauge, M & F I don't think you need spreaders in a modified choke, but if you took the 16 gauge Smith Ideal, I would go with spreader loads in the right barrels and standard in the left. Tim

My pheasant seasons opens tomorrow also...No dogs, allowed only one bird each day opening weekend...I think Ill take my Merkel 147 12ga StG ic/mod.... gunut

This thing is just about 100% and has the original box and paperwork. I'd still take it if it was raining, it'd just have to get wet for the day. Talk to everyone tomorrow. JW

My new dogs Luke and Elsie have been fantastic. Truly make it all worthwhile. Hunting buddy told a friend of his the other day that his next gun will be a SXS. I'll show him the way. JW
