I was on the Parker Forum today and noticed that they had a thread going regarding the Shooting Sportsman Cover with the good looking gal after a long day in the marsh with narry a eyelash out of place. Some were feeling that "their" magazine and clothing line had betrayed them. Shooting Sportsman is trying to sell more magazines and Filson is trying to sell more clothing/gear. It's marketing, and GOOD marketing.
What are the thoughts here?

I thought that was a photo of Sarah Palin in the talent portion of an Alaskan beauty pageant...
Yep, good marketing, though that autoloader looks awfully big for her.

Good looking babe, butt-ugly gun(Benelli Nova pump, not an autoloader). The camo may be a good idea, so your friends won't see what an ugly gun you're carrying. Anyway, you won't have to worry about anyone stealing it.

See my post "Waterfowlers" for my feelings...I ran over and bought a Benelli pump, Filson clothes...This woman brings credit and class to an otherwise cold uncomfortable sport...The Parker guys that feel that way need to get out more...(I'm not going to shoot the Benelli, its for just in case she drops by the home place)

I thought it was great- except for having a modern camo gun on the cover of a magazine with so many NICE guns in it!

I thought it a very pretty picture, although the string of mallards and bandoleer did not for a moment make me think she had killed anything, or even shot the gun!
She didn't strike me as all that attractive, just attractive for the cover of a gun/hunting magazine.

Bit of a long stroke on the Nova! On the other hand, I don't know if it's possible for the outside to rust and wonderful place for your survival kit in the stock. I have never liked mine. I guess it's the sort of thing a mag photog would use as a generic photo prop.

Steve! I am apalled and shocked at the use of the pictures of my wife without her permission. Those pictures were entrusted to the Johney Carson museum in Norfolk Nebraska, where my Mother in law, Beth Voss, is on the board......She (we) intend to take whatever action is neccessary to continue to distribute them.........
