Nothing fancy, but here's my new H 16: Light as a feather, fits amazingly well, great wood, but has a broken mainspring and obviously needs a metal refinish. Unmolested gun though. She's a keeper.

That's nice Mark...a lot of potential there, and if I could find one like that, it would be on the way, maybe someday.

Looks good, Mark. I love Lefevers, myself. What do you mean by "mainspring", one of the hammer springs?

Got it. I have made them out of fine music wire.

Seriously? It's a very stout little spring about 2" long. I'm not sure I understand how one could be made out of music wire?

What we have here, is a failure to communicate. The trigger springs(2) are a small hairpin shaped spring that holds the trigger up against the sear. A main spring(2) is a large strong "V" spring that provides power to the hammer.

Mark, I have a Lefever G action that appears to be complete. I doubt that a spring from my action will just be a drop in to your gun. If you want to send your gun to Keith Kearcher, I will take my action to him and give you the spring for him to fit.

Mark, beautiful Lefever!!!!
I know most members on this board are just drooling all over their keyboards looking at those pics!!!
Others post pics of their guns and most posters are polite and congratulate them, but a Lefever gets most of the members of this board blood's boiling when they see one like that!!
For the first few years anyway, I would sleep with one eye open!!!

Hey thanks for the warning!!!
