Hi, JayCee--I stand corrected. Probably a "brain fart" brought on by watching too much of my cat's favorite TV program (not kidding; my not-too-bright cat Hairy is fascinated by "The Simpsons"!).
By the way, when does California quail season begin in YOUR hemisphere? Looking better than I had expected up here!

I am sad to inform that the quail season FINISHED yesterday August 31st.
Have to wait until 1st April, 2009. :-(

End of the season is always a little sad--hope it was a good season for you. I'll try to remember that your quail season coincides with our trout season....not sure it works the other way around, tho--our quail season begins in Oct. (I hear that Chilean trout fishing is as good as it gets anywhere.).
