Fate smiled on me and I picked up another 7lbs of bulk shot today for $165. I have managed to hoard 40lbs or so plus at least a season's worht of loaded shells.
What is the latest news if any of Bismuth shot returning to the market?

Sorry Destry, as the T-Shirt at an ATA trapshoot said "Runner-up" is just the first Loser :-)
My 3 Frame 12ga VH will be throwing them at geese come fall.

Not a problem at all, they had a $200 BIN on the jug and if I wanted them bad enough I'd have just hit that.
I made a bid hoping I might pick them up cheap was all.
I've always wanted a #3 frame 12 gauge, I looked at a dandy at the Southern but couldn't get a deal done.

Destry,
The Brothers P. would do some rather strange things in relation to barrel weight and frame sizes. My Grandfather's very early PH-Grade 12-gauge is on a 3-frame and weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces. While the barrels are quite thick right at the breech, they swamp in very fast. My even earlier 2-frame GH-Grade weighs a fraction of an ounce over nine pounds. The original 12-gauge barrels for my gun are very straight almost no swamp. This is the gun with the later fit set of 32-inch Vulcan brrels in 3-inch 20-gauge. They do swamp!

I got lucky on this 3 frame 12 Destry. It was all original (thought it might have been restocked but was not) poorly refinished along the way (the checkering was simply molested). It was all original, 32" F/M, 9 lbs, 14 1/4 LOP and 2 1/2 DAH. 1900 year of Manufacture. It was NOT a two barrel set 10/12. The barrels swamp, barrel weight was 5 lbs even.
Being a duck and goose hunter it was appealing to me. It shot well so I sent it out to Larry DelGrego & Son and had them do a full re-do stem to stern. It looks great and I am learning to handle it, broke a 25 straight in trap with it last week. Can't wait for the late season ducks on the brackish water this fall.

Sounds like all nice guns!!!! Wish I could have made the deal for that #3 frame I looked at. The guy still has it as far as I know, maybe sometime in the future.
I've heard of a #3 frame 12/10 two barrel set but never seen pictures or anything. That would be a waterfowlers dream come true......

Destry, how many 3 frame 12 fluid steel Parkers do you think are out there? Relatively speaking not many. Like I said I got lucky (I think). Ivory Beads has two 3 frame VH's for sale. Both of them have warts and they want $2850 and $3800. I have just slight less than the former into mine. If you really want one and you can afford it and pay your other bills in life go for it. Life is short and with each passing year we have fewer duck seasons left my friend.
