EDM, you're expressing a delusion popular among the Hillary Feminists - that they are objects of desire for the GOP. It should be obvious that they're not.

Palin's nomination is clearly aimed at three far different voting blocs: (1) the evangelicals (to fire them up); (2) the blue-collar, rust-belt Dems who rejected Obama in the key states of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Indiana; and (3) the vast number of American voters - male and female - who yearn for someone at the top who's like themselves and knows how ordinary people think and live.

Palin breathes fresh air into a political scene dominated by the Eastern Establishment, DC insiders, prep school and Ivy League elitists and millionaires. The only one on either ticket who actually went through a public high school, she is extraordinarily ordinary.

I have little respect for either political party - but I have to give credit to the Republicans for a smart move. The GOP choice of Sarah Palin will be very effective in wooing all three groups, while the Hillary Feminists sulk in their corner desperately pretending someone is courting them.

Well, since you wrote the same thing twice, it's clear that I understood your "metaphor" perfectly the first time. A grahic sexist slur combined with an assumption (that Governor Palin was selected to draw the votes of "dogmatic" female Democrats) so vacuous and utterly illogical that it can only be rooted in knee-jerk cynicism/prejudice does indeed provide clarity about what your principal objection to Governor Palin's nomination is. Thanks for confirming.

I don't think that anyone including Palin was trying to diminish
the work of volunteers, but it is another thing to base your credentials as a presidential candidate on being a community organizer that has little or no accountability or responsibility that can be tracked. I would rather that the USA does not become a full fledged socialist country. Obama wants national healthcare and education and energy. (the education and healthcare in lieu of reparations (he has said))
I am happy about the Palin choice and dam glad she is not a lawyer what a refreshing change neither are lawyers.

There is another group that is being wooed here and it is us. John McCain has been known to run hot and cold on 2nd ammendment* rights and with the addition of Palin,a hunter and NRA life member, I expect the millions of firearms owners and users to fall in line and support this ticket. We HAVE to win here.
Alternative scenario:
Obama wins and appoints H. Clinton to the Supreme Court. The Court then reverses the decision on the 2nd Ammendment. And don't think for one minute that this wouldn't happen as the Clintons are still both smarting over the loss of control of Congress because of the backlash from firearms owning voters.

*Remember the "Gun Show Loophole" B.S. of a few years back.

Fact is she can piss higher up the wall than a man if no hands are used so squating is not a real problem.Our Country was founded by folks with no expernce in the White House and we were better for it.
