So whats your real name folks and what was the best gun you ever had. My name is William Gregory Aalbertsberg hence the Wilhelm Gregor as thats what gramps told the nurse when I was born but dad reminded him he was in America now. Best gun Daly Lindner Diamond grade.Damascus tubes that shot great. The range master at American shooting center in Houston told me I couldn't shoot a damascus gun on the range for safety reasons.I told him Briley checked it out and its fine showing him the bore.He then said OK as he could tell it was sleaved being the bore was shinny and showed no damascus pattern, shook my head yes and spent many a good day shooting my shinny bored gun.

Real name's Lloyd (BBS name comes from my past life as a Triathlete) and my best gun is probably an early graded A.H. Fox (12b, 28" barrels). BUT I have a possible sleeper that might knock the Fox from it's perch. It's a Pre-War 20 gauge hammer gun with 28" barrels that was made by the Tula arsenal in Russia. If my memory serves me correctly, Geno (our Russian expert) told me it was pretty rare and called a TOZ-B. It's in fantastic condition and locks up like a vault! Never did ask about value, but I do know there is very little available info about these guns. I guess till I know more about the value - the Fox still gets top billing.

This might become a very interesting thread.

My name is as posted and comes from good Scots Irish stock. I have given this a good deal of thought and reached the conclusion that the best gun as far as handling and how well I shoot it I have ever had is the Citori 12 gauge Upland Hunter that I still have. That gun has probably accounted for more pheasant, chukar, and quail killed than all my other shooters put together. I definitely shoot it better than any other gun I own.

Don't like phoney names, don't use 'em. Have yet to find my best gun. Until then, my little 20ga. Bernardelli Hemingway DL will do.

Asking for real names and the ignore feature will put an end to this.....So anyway!
Why would I want to change my name ol'bean - it's a grand old name in the shooting boards!
I have almost 6000 posts here, and almost the same over at Shooting Sportsman before being bane.
My best gun is a pre-WWI Frederick Beesley sidelock ejector 12b.

Hi, I'm Gregory J. Westberg, hence gjw. I'm blessed to live in No Dak. I'm married with 8 kids (2 boys and six girls - all with the same wife). My best gun is a 16b Charles Boswell BLE, 2nd Quality. I have a few other "good" SxS (English and Spanish, plus a couple of Italian). Don't have any O/U's (sold them to buy SxS's) and do have a couple of repeaters (dads and my first gun).

All the best!!!

Greg

Gracias, Amigo! No guns in the book, though - just messing around in the Highlands with whisky and sheep. And whisky.

My name is Timothy Sheldon, I have a wife and a couple of boys. One just graduated from Michigan State University. One is still a senior. I own a medical supply company. I have a few side by's kicking around and I can't say which is my best, but when push comes to shove, it's a good ole A H Fox CE 16 gauge that gets the call. The gun just makes things easy. :-)

I have used my real name from the beginning. I have wondered why so many do not.Perhaps they are cautious or afraid of their identity.I do not care; however, it seems to me that one's name is important.
