As I flew back to Minnesota on Tuesday, I had time to think about the Northeastern Side by Side Championship. What great event! The vendors really outdid themselves with their display of guns. Connecticut Shotgun Manufacture, Steve Cobb, Famars and Steve Barnett all had a fantastic guns on display. Albert and Laura, from Classic Upland Supplies, had a very nice display of there goods for purchase. They are to be commended for keeping all the displays up until the last event on Sunday. Ernie and family made the best of a very wet week-end. I'm sure the weather kept some shooters away and the missed out on a very well run shoot. The course was fair and challenging. Trap malfunctions were far fewer than I have experienced at most Sporting Clay courses. I flew to the shoot so used RST shells for all my shooting rather than pack them along. Very nice shells with very little recoil.
I am planning on making the trip again, next year!
