I'm in Maui for 5 days. I'm sure my dance card is pretty full, but is there any hope for finding any shooting related venues?

Chuck, Just take one of those boats out that let you snorkel in the volcano/crater for a half day. You can shoot back here. Have fun. Jake

Chuck,
Jakearoo is right! You are obsessed. You need umbrella drinks, a snorkle, sunglasses and a black sand beach. We won't run out of shot shells before you get back.

If you haven't already done so, get to Oahu and tour Pearl Harbor. You'll never forget the experience. Just a short flight via Hawaii Air.

Chuck
wb is right. I shot at the Papaka shooting grounds in the early 90's and 100 targets then was a hundred bucks. Don't know what it would be now, more no doubt. I am surt theri are other places as well. I think there is a private shooting venue on the small island that is visible form Maui on the Lahina side of the island. That one is probably really expensive.

Take the ferry from Lahaina to Lanai and bus to the Sporting clay range. Nice equipment: golf carts (no walking), Browning/ Beretta O/U. Well laid out with asphalt paths. Appears to be inside old caldera. Paths and stands within trees/woods.
Fairly expensive: for 2 people, guns, 100 shells each and cart was $256 total.

I was in Maui a few weeks ago. Maui sporting clays is a nice facility run by a very expereinced gentleman. The course is beautiful with 270 degree views out to the ocean. They pick you up at the hotel, it is up the hill from wailwea. They have a website and can be booked thorugh any of the hotels http://www.mauisc.com/index.php
