I know it'll be expensive, but who can make a new set of barrels for an older double gun? And, for how much?

And, as for sleeving barrels, can the replacement set be made longer?

Peter,
I'm not sure about who can scratch build some barrels, but sleeving can easily make them longer. The only issue is the ribs. A scratch built rib or one sourced from somewhere will need to replace the short ones (upper & lower) of course. Kirk Merrrington in TX does this kind of work. Possibly Steve Bertrum (SKB is his handle on this site) may do it also.

Golly a new set will be expensive! But if that's the route you want to go I'd suggest you contact Glen Baker at Woodcock Hill and discuss it. The gun would probably head to England for the work. What gun is it?

I guess that if you can replace ribs, a sleeving job is a better course of action.

It's one of those guns that I'll never replace, but wasn't ever perfect before with its 26" barrels.

There is also the possibility of having Teague put a set of liners in them, but it will not do anything to make them longer. Not doubt it will be pricey to have this done too.
