A friend and i have a differnce of opinion, nothing bad and we arn't mad at each other. But it's about a double that we can't agree upon. We both have differnent opinions on the description here goes with mine. I think the gun was Italian made it folded over almost touching with a underlever that also acted as the trigger guard. You actually pushed the lever down to breech the gun. This 20ga. sxs didn't have a top or bottom rib, was only attached at the muzzle and breech end. I know this at best is poor description and the gun nothing special and very plain. But it did seem to lock up good maybe double bite. Not a expensive gun at all and wish i bought it for 300.00. All that being said.....does anyone know the manufacture or name of the gun? If I'm at all close to being right.........i win one bill!

That's a shot in the dark. Belgium made millions of folding shotguns.

Sile Shotguns of New York imported folding shotguns from Italy 1984-1990. the 410 was called the Sile Sky Stalker. They also imported a 12 ga--don't know if was a folding model. No mention of 20 ga that I can find.

MickeyD...........i was thinking Sile too. I know it wasn't a Beretta, nothing that nice and not a brand name. Sorry i can't be of much help, but so far i'm winning. Does the gun without ribs seem right, or has anyone seen a sxs manufactured without the ribs? This is the part i wasn't sure of. I have seen O/U's without ribs.

Battle, Saw the gun at a Gun Show. Can't remember about rib. Was a nice gun and went for $500.

Its not Italian...but did Baby Bretton (Fench) have some basic folding gun...I pretty sure i'm way of on this though

Franc, the Baby Bretton most of us think of is an OU. Don't believe I've ever seen a Bretton sxs. But maybe . . .
Bernardelli made a gun such as you describe, although I'm not sure about the ribless part. Looks to be a rib in the 1961 Stoeger's catalog I've got. Called the VBG, and it was available in 20ga.
