I recentley purchased a Darne SXS, I belive it is an R11, Pictures are available at the following link.

There is a small gap between the reciever and the butt stock around the trigger guard. The stock is not at all loose but I am afraid the the stock may crack if I shoot it alot. My plan is to remove the buttstock to look for damage and then glass bed it to regain the proper fit if needed.

My two bigest questions are.....

1.) How do I remove the action to get at the screws to remove the buttstock?
2.) What do you think of my Idea to fill the gap?

Any help would be great
