If you find that a particular poster's contributions are often insulting, provocative, annoying, argumentative, inane, obtuse or just nauseating, simply click on the poster's name, select "View Profile" and then click on "Ignore This User". Their postings will not appear on your screen. You don't allow everyone who knocks on your front door to enter your home - why allow everyone with a keyboard to sully your computer doorstep? Life is too short to wallow in the mud.
Out of curiosity I looked back to the earliest posting that I printed out to save. It was from September 3, 1997 - Mike Orlen's recipe for low pressure loads. That means I've been reading this board almost daily for over 10 years! Though I post rarely I have learned much from others. In the early days I used to read every post. Now I have less time and must be a bit more selective. But I'm still learning and to many of you I say "Thank you very much". I greatly miss Russ Rupple and Bill Wise and hope that their reincarnations will soon find us.
