Was surfing the web and saw where Dawson's Doubles had just sold a BSS converted to shoot 3 1/2" shells.
It just made me think, how would one go about this conversion to assure it was safe?
Proofs, forcing cones, bbl thickness, etc. Needless to say the gun in question had been cammo dipped, and was a hard core duck/goose gun conversion.
Seems like a large amount of work Vs just taking a good Spanish 10ga and putting chamber liners in it. You'd have the strength of frame, weight of the gun to help recoil and also instantly back bored bbls.
3 1/2" out of a 8lb BSS would be a lot of force on that frame and fun for the shoulder.
