I wandered off the reservation and bought another gun. This Meriden sold for just 38.50 back in 1916 or so. I find it to be a rather remarkable gun. It shares the exact "flying turnips" of Parker fame.

May not be worth much but a cool gun.

Yes! I agree! Perhaps you followed the recent thread here on Meriden guns. My new hammer gun acquisition is excellent. I have several Parker guns (and some others) but my new Meriden is the most interesting to me right now. Although, sadly, my Meriden gun has no flying turnips.

Not sure if this old Meriden parts gun is a Diamond grade, but it has twice the turnips. C30 on the water table. The workmanship is often impressive on these old Sears guns even if the engraving can be proportionally challenged. Wish I had the barrels and the right hand lock for this one.
