Maybe you don't know what the conservatives are endorsing, especially in this state. One would think you were watching the news.

Overthrowing an election and the federal government is a sorta big thing in my mind. But just a picnic to you. Says a lot.

Please put me on ignore.

There are ignorant people on both sides. No doubt. You are right right about that. Right now, it's the right, however, that is clamoring for the end of the EC.

Chief

If you go that route, you are doing basically the same thing as removing the EC. It's not quite the same, but it defeats the EC's purpose. Both ways are a democracy, but the EC is a more respresentative democracy in the same way that a House and a Senate are, together, more representative of the nation than just one of those houses alone.

No Brent, not really. Removing the EC and going popular vote would certainly disenfranchise smaller, more rural states. Leaving the EC in place and crediting votes by district is better in my opinion. So then, if Biden loses will Dems complain about the EC? Come on man, you know they will!

Yes, really.

I agree if he loses the EC vote but wins the public. Otherwise, not. But both sides do that, as I acknowledged above.

What you are missing is how your "district" think will threaten the representation under populated states and will add, of course, even more pressure to gerrymandering than there already is.

What you really need to look into is more sophisticated methods of voting.

Well Gerrymandering is a long standing tradition that is used by both parties when in power. Maybe that should change, maybe not.
You have to consider that this only affects the Presidency/vice Presidency. As an example if a candidate loses the majority popular vote by some small margin but wins the electoral vote by a large margin then something seems not quite right to the losing party and their loyal. Conversely when a candidate wins the majority popular vote to lose the electoral vote things don't seem OK either!
I'm not going to take the time to figure out the 2016 results by district, or the 2020 either. It's likely the outcomes would be the same.

What do you think was in the minds of those involved? Just a lark, eh? Oh, picnic, that's right, picnic. I didn't see any picnic baskets or BBQ.

I'm sure you are as proud of them as Trump is. THAT is pathetic - AND traitorous.

Congrats, Brent, you just made my ignore list. I do hope you can find some common sense and quit listening to the socialists/leftwing nuts on NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, PBS, and MSNBC(they're last on the list intentionally) and turn away from your Democrat walk. After all, you are a gun guy.
