Finally, it has arrived! A true 2 ½ Inch chambered (65 MM) shotshell designed for early American, British, European and other vintage guns, as well as those seeking a softer shooting 12 gauge load. This is also a great choice for competition and clay target shooting, as the premium shot is the same as utilized in Armusa's Competition Series.

Sounds interesting, but I looked through all of the information twice, and found no numbers for the pressures these loads generate. They say the shells are low pressure. But how low is low? 5500 psi, 7000psi, 9500 psi? All are low compared to SAAMI max.
We know that ammo manufacturers have to pressure test their shells to be in compliance with SAAMI or CIP standards. They chronograph velocity and share the results in actual numbers. So why is it such a big problem for them to share pressure data with their customers???

I've shot some of Armusa's 70mm loads in 12 and 28ga, and they.were excellent, and very clean. I'll give the 65mm loads a try. Thanks.

You'll find on the internet < 8000 psi, without evidence as to where that number originated. Possibly with this Forest & Stream, November 24, 1894. “Gas Pressure or Bursting Strain” https://books.google.com/books?id=19kwAQAAMAAJ&pg=PA459&lpg The proof-house charge of the American Testing Institution for a 12-bore gun develops a gas pressure of over 18,000 lbs. to the square inch. It is the same strain to which finished guns are put abroad. No gun would stand such a strain for any length of time. About 10,000 lbs. may be considered of touching the safety limit, and for some guns even is hazardous. A load giving about 8,000 lbs. pressure and less is better suited for the average gun and everyday use. 1 1/8 oz 3 Dram Bulk Smokeless loads at the turn-of-the-century did run < 8000 psi. Dense smokeless about 1000 psi higher.

1170 fps, $170 delivered to my door. The guy carries all styles of Armusa shells. He is very helpful getting the order done. I got one flat of the 2 1/2" shells and so far they seem to be great.

Spanish company. Official agent for Briley in Spain. That lends some measure of credibility.

I bought a large load of Armusa loads about 20 years ago, including 2-1/2" 20s and 16s (no 12s). Out of that order I have shot mostly 28ga and like them. Got some without shot cups (intentionally) and most with shot cups. They shoot fine and kill doves as well as any other comparable lead loads I have used. Only other comment is the bores get a little dusty, but not an issue for me.
