Here is a nice example of a Remington Model 1894 Grade FE Trap Gun in 12-gauge. This gun locks up tight and is all there and matching, with nice clean and shiny 30” bores and excellent mechanicals. Matching numbers appear on the trigger guard tang, receiver, buttstock, forearm metal and barrels.

This is an ejector gun; both strong ejectors work as designed.

The gun serial numbers to 1906.

Straight “English-style” grip with a 14-1/8” pull dimension to the front trigger. DAC is 2-1/4” and DAH 3”. I believe the buttplate is original.

I have not measured the bores, but a US dime will just pass into the right muzzle, but not into the left. Barrel lugs are marked with pellet counts 305 (right barrel) and 310 (left barrel).
I have also not measured the chambers, which were originally set up for 2-5/8” shells.

The grain in the buttstock is attractive, but I believe the original finish has been removed; the wood now has a nice oil finish and still shows minor signs of usage. The checkering appears to have been recut on the buttstock and the forearm and is in nice shape. The finish on the metal appears to be original, with some staining and a few spots where the bluing is worn.

The gun is equipped with an automatic safety.

Please see the accompanying photos for a better idea of the gun’s condition.

I have owned and occasionally shot this gun at trap (with my own light Federal paper 1-oz handloads) for going on five years. After I acquired it, I had it “gone over” by a well-known doubles smith in Oswego who noticed that the gun's safety plunger spring was missing. He replaced it with a spring that he fabricated (see photo in one of the following posts below).

I’m 76 now, am thinning the herd, and this is my last side-by-side.

I will need at least a C&R license to ship to.

I’ve sold a couple of nice old pieces on this site previously, and have 100% positive feedback on Gunbroker under “Tom in Pittsburgh” and eBay under “we-no-nah.” So please order with confidence, however I will not accept a return unless we both agree that I missed (or mischaracterized) something significant in my description.

$1,750 $1,400 and I will cover shipping and full insurance to a Lower 48 address.

Thanks for looking; please PM me with any questions.
