After discovering the pure joy of shooting a hammergun with damascus barrels over 30 years ago I have never looked back. It's sad but I don't even consider one with fluid steel barrels anymore.

So, what pattern would these barrels on my Cashmore be? laminated steel? something else? even if it's not the best, it's still beautiful.

Thanks a million, Dan! I looked and looked, but I just couldn't figure it out. One of the barrels has a vertical stamp B. L., I assumed it's only a makers trademark, but maybe Birmingham Laminated? wild guess, probably way off. Anyways, glad it's not skelp.

Here's bottom of the barrels showing the trademark stamps??

But then, here's the curiosity about this gun. The serial is 3126, WAY less than many of the historical guns from the 1880's and 1890's and also all of the aussie guns I have read about.
This gun was purchased in england in the 1980's different serials for the UK and overseas??

Wait!!! another serial number on the barrels here:

Bob: I've been collecting marks on British pattern welded barrels and have not previously seen 'BL'; likely the Birmingham tube maker.

Thanks, the action serial number (3126) does also appear on the tubes as well. Along with the 11555 number. I have seen two sets of serial numbers on a barrel before. Rebarrel??
