I normally shoot sporting with 6 1/2 lb game guns in 12 ga or 6lbs 4 oz game guns in 20 and use 3/4 oz light loads. A friend gave me 4 boxes of 410 and his 7 1/2 lb O/U. Wow was that fun. I'll need another loading press and have to decide do I go for SxS my preferred configuration or O/U. It may be difficult to find a SxS 410 close to 7 lbs. Well I found a couple Win 21's at or over 7 lbs but $25,000 for a trial run is a bit much

Argo: Wouldn't that price be in euros? The French haven't gone back to the franc, have they?

Browning 425’s are super nice and there are several for sale on GI now..Miller Brownings. They weigh a little over 7 lbs and can be had with 30” barrels in the subgauges.

Larry, don't know what got into me. I was doing some history checking and calculating my 1996 Rome monthly pass bus tokens, bought in Lire at the time and just got carried away. Makes sense.

Jeff, you have been bitten! If you lean towards the O/U side, look for a nice FAIR Verona LX 692. I have one in 28/.410 (two barrel sets) with 30" barrels. It is a sweetheart, I promise you. Very underrated in the market.

Like this one: https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...-shotgun-s-n-172806.cfm?gun_id=101239805

If you get hooked into the S X Ss, like I did, there are the Yildiz (lower end), the Dickinson, and the FAIR Iside. I have all these and can endorse them all.

Little guns ...... big fun1

Just from eyeballing it you look to be right, Gene. Does it tell the drop anywhere in that description?

I need 'em to be at least 2 3/8" at the heel, with a little more than that being even better.
