I agree with your assessment that it has been slow around here. And I like your idea for discussion, but out of consideration of interested bidders on guns I try to avoid discussing active auctions on an open forum. So, how about we pick a couple from a recent Amoskeag auction.
First is a nice little SA 1922 G&H Hornet conversion using the original Armory stock.
HornetAs a bit of a Hornet fan, I was pleased to see this one sell for what I felt was a very strong price.
Next is a nice Roberts and Kimball 257.
Roberts and Kimball I do not know how many of these were made, but it could not have been a lot and they are seldom seen for sale. Evidently this one did not get a high enough bid to make the reserve. I would be interested in knowing if that rifle has the original 25 Roberts chamber or the factory remington 257 Chamber.
