Did anyone score a win today at Gavin Gardiner's sale? I went 0-1 and was just outbid on one item, as seems to be the norm these days. That's OK as I absentee bid all that I was willing to pay. Still, it is interesting to note that the "hammer price" listed on Invaluable or on Gavin's site does not include the buyer's premium. I always forget that when assessing success or failure on a bid. I was impressed by the quality of the guns offered in this sale and the reasonable starting prices, especially for boxlocks. I wish I were in the market for one.

I won a nice hammergun that I plan on using for clays. Steel barrels, sideclips and Greener style top fastener. 7 lbs 15 oz. with flat rib. I wanted steel barrels. My club is not damascus friendly.

Congrats. There was a beautiful Edwinson Green ST 10 bore in original condition. I would have bid on it but for the ST and the short stock made for a Maharaja.
