I got this rolling block when I was looking at a collection of 1886 Winchester rifles a guy had for sale. I have never been a real rolling block fan, but this was such a beauty, I had to get it. I took it shooting prairie dogs yesterday and it is easily a “minute of prairie dog” gun…

It is 40-50 Sharps bottleneck. This is a short range target rifle. The 40-50 is the 3rd cartridge from the left.

First is 40-90 Sharps bottleneck, second is 40-65 Winchester, 40-50, and last is a 44-40…

I have one in .40-50 Sharps Straight. Also .44-77 SBN Creedmoor Long Range. I really love these Remington Target models! That's a beauty!

I never really considered owning a rolling block until I saw this one. Most of them lack much character and few look as nice as these target models. I took it out shooting prairie dogs a couple days ago…
