I ordered a flat of the Gamebore EVO's which were supposed to be 1200 FPS and felt wads. They wre pretty "HOT"to say the least. In fact I had issues shooting them in my Lnag and opening the gun afterwards.

I know the industry has changed, but I shot a 21g felt 12ga cartridge at WLSS a couple years back that were very mild. It looks like Lyalvale is the company making the low recoil 21g felt 12ga loads today. I don't know if they have a US distributor. It's a load designed for all day high volume shooting.

Out there doing it best I can.

I'm in the UK and shot the 21g felt wad Evo last weekend for the first time. I can confirm that (compared to my usual Hull Cartridge Co Comp X 21g fibre), the Gamebore Evo are much more lively.

There are a number of 21g fibre loads available - Hull Cartridge, Gamebore, Ely, Lyvale/Express and Fiocchi to name those I can remember! The Hull Cartridge is my preferred choice.

I saw that the EVO was made for competition, and was very speedy. 1250-1300? Not a low energy load.

Also here in sunny England... I also find that all Gamebore loads are loud and snappy, usually supersonic at the muzzle.

In contrast Hull and most Lyalvale loads are much more to my taste for my old guns and shoulder. I think the youthful shooters seem to go for the Gamebore - lots of BANG!

The Hull CompeX basic clay loads come in 21g and 28g loads and work well, fibre wads too. I am looking forward to trying the 28g Imperial Steel load, which we all may end up using in the lead-free future.

So why can't we get Hull or Lyvale shells imported here to the U.S.? Especially since there seems to be no domestic manufacturer here in the states willing to produce any. Seems like a rich environment to tap.
Just saying, Cheers

It's probably the volume.
Every so often somebody new brings in Euro ammunition, but they never seem to last long.
I have a bunch of Gamebore that first I bought from a company in Virginia, and then one in Illinois.
Kent bought a plant here, but I don't think it produces the low pressure fibre loads.
I am encouraged by the biodegradable wad developments seemingly led by UK cartridge companies. My local marsh could use a little less plastic floating around.
Always loved shooting KTM.

Thanks for the tip. I was able to grab a flat of the 7.5 shot and my dad called and was able to secure the last case of 6s. Never shot Gamebore before but the boxes and shells look nice. Even had the proof house info on them so I sent an email about the proof marks on my Lang hammergun.
