Mike,
I certainly hear you! I hunt with paper RST's which smell great and make me feel better even when I miss the bird!

I can relate, Mike.

I've burnt loads of black powder in m/l competition, but I prefer the smell of 7625, in paper shells, above black.

Years back, Ross Seyfried did an article in G&A about a new magazine starting up. He mentioned the smell of just fired paper shotshells, in his loose review of the Double Gun Journal. I couldn't resist taking a look, and ended up going the distance with my subscription.

Smells are known to be linked to memories and can bring the memory back upon smelling the odor. Most memories with firing paper shot shells would be good ones I believe.

My grandfather had a beagle that would bay like it was hot trailing when you held a fired shotgun shell to his nose.
