I’ve never been and am thinking of going there instead of the Southern this year.
Looks like a good collection of exhibitors.

Brays is a mini-Southern in terms of vendors. However, in terms of shooting Brays is superior. Their clays course is very nice and uncrowded. I went last year and it seemed folks were more interested in the vendors than shooting. The group I was shooting with never had to wait at a station.

Go to both. Life is short

I'm heading over Friday to deliver 3 flats of RST and Polywad shells...it's only 50 miles away for me. Gil

Just going to check it all out. I'm pretty familiar with most of the vendors from times at the Southern and such, but it will be nice to visit around with them again. I think my wife will be there with me, so I won't get to linger as much as maybe I'd like....
Hope to see you there on Friday, Gil.

Have fun. You do know you need to make a reservation ahead of time.

Yes, did that a few weeks ago. Should be interesting. I've bought from some of the vendors in the past and know them reasonably well. A lot them know each other extremely well, so I suspect the modest size of it all maybe makes the whole thing a bit social.

Vic, Judy and I will be there on Saturday to shoot and browse the vendors. We're also going to the Southern.

Great to hear, Bob! Supposed to rain on Friday, which is when I've been planning on being there, but I'll try to get there Saturday morning as well; hope to see you and Judy then.

I plan on being there tomorrow. I always look forward to it, and have been many times to shoot and browse the vendors' wares. With the rain expected I may not get to shoot, but I'll have a gun with which to do so, just in case there's a break. I'll probably bring my old Club Car. It won't hurt it to get wet, if I shoot or not.

See you tomorrow, Gil. Spring, let's be sure to hook up tomorrow. Looking forward to meeting you. Call me if we somehow don't recognize each other.

Edited to add: I just noticed a spelling error on the flyer. The wildlife artist, Bucky Bowles, will be there, but his last name is misspelled as Bowels. Unfortunate. I have one of Bucky's prints hanging in my home. It's a very special one to me. I look forward to seeing him again.

Enjoyed yesterday's conversations with Josh Lowensteiner, Steve Barnett's step son August, Bucky Bowles, Tony Makris, and was pleased to get to meet and spend some time with John Deeter, of Guyette & Deeter. All very gracious gentlemen. Time well spent, IMO.

Some wonderful guns for sale. I was once again reminded of how reasonably priced Stephen Cobb's guns are. He has many nice examples of English doubles that most any aficionado should be able to afford. He had no less than four very nice 2" chambered game guns, none of which weighed over 5/11, as I recall. I was especially taken back by a beautiful little 28 ga. hammergun. But, the buttstock was so short that a 1" pad wouldn't have even gotten it into my wheelhouse. Gorgeous little thing.

Thanks to Brays Island Co., and all the exhibitors, for making it happen once again.
