Not the best pictures of this Pigeon grade Winchester model 12 20 gauge but the work especially the dogs looks excellent. Gun was manufactured in 1951. WS1 choke but unfortunately has a Cutts installed. Any thoughts on the possible engraver is appreciated.

William Gough did a lot of commission work thru the late 50's. Maybe Nick Kusmit who worked at Winchester in that time frame. Lovely work for sure.

I think they both spelt it Churchill.

At least ours blew hard in 1940 when a lot of his colleagues were talking surrender.

Nice engraving, by the way, on the Winchester.

If it were not for the absence of oak leaves I would be inclined to suggest that the owner had it done whilst stationed in Germany.

Is this being called a factory engraved gun or after market upgraded gun to pigeon grade level? It is lovely by the way.

Jon, it's a bit more than Winchester Pigeon Grade. Could it be a Jaeger job? Arnold G. usually signed his work.
