Can you tell me something about this little hammer bar-action? It was made before 1888, when the factory closed.

Clearly very nice quality.

The locks were often made by specialist gun lock makers such as Brazier or Stanton.

If you have the proper mainspring clamp and take the mainspring off you might find the lock makers name stamped under the mainspring on the inside of the lock plate.

Unfortunately, I haven´t the suitable mainspring vise for disassemble and clean the full action.
