I mentioned in January in Daryl’s revolving shotgun thread that according to a proposed “assault weapons ban” here his Roper would be banned. Now last week a House committee here passed on a party line vote another bill that would give counties the authority to ban the discharge of firearms on private property and in unincorporated areas. Since we’ve effectively become a one party state there’s little or nothing that can be done. All the more reason for you to be ever vigilant. Those on this quest, it seems, will never be satisfied.

As Daryl said, you can’t make this stuff up.

Would not that violate a “pursuit of happiness”. Oh, that the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. Not that it matters much. People seem to ignore them both, when they want, and if they don’t agree with their wokeness. It certainly would violate your right to privacy on your own land.

What’s next no country music or rock music played on your land? This is what you get when a few hundred thousand people from California move into your state, because it is so much nicer. Clean, not crowded, little homelessness, lower taxes, all the things California has lost. First thing they do is start reforming it, into a mini California. It does not take many bad apples to ruin the barrel. I think somebody needs a ride to the train station. They ought to go willingly, because trains are mass transportation which is automatically green. Rip, warm up the truck.

FallCreekFan, I agree with you 100%. But I'm not sure if you've noticed that these pro-2nd Amendment Threads aren't really welcome here. They are quite welcome on some firearms forums, while others ban them completely.

Unfortunately, there are a number of guys here who find them offensive. The problem comes when someone inevitably points out that nearly 100% of anti-gun legislation at the local, state, or federal level comes from anti-gun Democrats. And there are a number of gun owners who think it divides us when it is pointed out that some in our ranks knowingly support and vote for these anti-gun politicians.

Fact is, nothing divides gun owners like those who happily help the anti-gun Democrats erode our 2nd Amendment Rights. They know they are doing it, and they want those of us who support the gun rights of law abiding citizens to just shut up and accept it. And sadly, too many gun owners who know better are afraid to confront their ignorance. They want civility, but won't confront the incivility of being stabbed in the back. If American gun owners stood united in defense of our Constitutional Right to own firearms, nothing could ever take that away. But we're not.

Some of them simply can't connect the dots, and will never understand as you do, that the anti-gunners really hate all guns, and they will never stop with semi-auto rifles, large capacity magazines, or handguns. But there are also some gun owners who actually support bans and restrictions on these arms, and they happily vote for extreme anti-gunners such as the Clintons, Obama, Biden, etc., even when they are shown to have near 100% anti-gun voting records. One proud Liberal Democrat here openly admits to supporting bans on these guns he doesn't like. And he has been repeatedly informed that many anti-gunners are already pushing to ban any rifle or ammunition that will penetrate police body armor. They call them sniper rifles. And he refuses to acknowledge that would directly affect the center fire bolt action hunting rifles he loves.

Add that to your list of extraordinarily dumb stuff you can't make up!

A true sign of mental illness is any gun owner who would vote for an Anti-Gunner like Joe Biden.

I don't think the homicides bother them as much as the thought of an armed electorate.

What a crock Keith. Talk about a selective memory and trying to re-write history.

While there are a couple Dem voting members here, what really irks you is we all just got tired of your incessant carping and bullying of people if they didn't EXACTLY adhere to your world view.

You have demonstrated time and again an inability to play with others......like some recalcitrant 3 yo having a tantrum. It's not because of the anti Second Amendment people here......there are none. It's you, losing your shit on a regular basis and making this site intolerable for those who want to come and talk about guns. It's your behavior that resulted in you being suspended numerous times and ultimately causing Dave to have to review your every post. You are the author of your own misfortune Keith.

I had people approach me on other sites who knew I was active here who asked me "What is with that Keith guy?". You were destroying the site and it still hasn't recovered entirely.

Now, I'll get out my umbrella in preparation of the unjustified shit storm you will attempt to rain down on me.
