This is a recent Greener 16 gauge sidelock - it speaks for itself.

YES, IT DOES!

This is my FP with a top tang safety. Beautifully restocked by SKB, of course.
it is a 12, however.

Nice they are intriguing guns. If only they made more with a top safety. It might be quite difficult to the right one and being a lefty makes it even more difficult to find

The vast majority of British guns can be bent for a lefty, do not let a little cast on hold you back if everything else is what you are looking for.

There is a limit to what you can bend. 3/4’s up and 3/4’s over is more than I’d chance

Everything I have has been bent

I have bent lots of guns more than 3/4" for cast, drop is much harder to achieve the same travel. Each piece of wood is different but cast is almost always achievable.

Side safety, I'm afraid. 26" barrels, 5 3/4 lbs. Made in 1897.

SKB here are some pictures of the workings of the Greener Monarch Imperial shown above. Quite a dainty gun.

Wow Daryl - did you source that treasure in the U.S.?
The great J.A.R. Elliott used a Greener early on, until enticed to shoot for Winchester with a 1893 Repeating Shotgun after the 3rd Grand American Handicap at Live Birds in 1895 where he placed second with his Greener.
Scroll down here about 3/4

Another (good) possibility is that the gun was ordered by J.A.R.'s brother Robert for sale at R.S. Elliott Arms Co. in K.C.
