Has anyone used one? I would like to hear opinions from those who have owned/used one. I’m not sure why Galazan named the model after the Winchester sxs, ever if he did buy the tooling. Name aside, I’d like to get opinions of the design and manufacturing execution of this gun.

I found them to be quite well-made.

It’s a compact, elegant design.

It has good dynamics, and the stock of the one that I handled was a lovely piece of feather crotch walnut.

It’s a nice looking package.

But, and I guess there’s always a butt, the grip radius is too tight for me.
It is a very small grip.

I’ve wanted one since I first handled it.

Out there doing it best I can.

The Inverness, the same gun as the Model 21 with a different receiver profile, is made with a Woodward style pistol grip that you will find more to your liking.

So?
It’s a proven action design.

If I was vacillating between a used AyA#2 and a CSMC
21, I’d have a hard time with the choice for ruffed grouse.

this is a 20ga 30” 6lb 10 oz. My upland 20ga sxs gun weigh a lot less ( 5lb 6oz)but I was thinking of targets for the csmc

Oh,
Light or heavy is in the hands of the holder.
Obviously if it weighs more than 4 lbs they must be garbage.

I thought you were seeking one as a field gun.
I’ve only seen them represented as that.
I have no knowledge of how their mechanism responds to regular heavy use.
Never have been squadded with any CSMC products except the A-10.

Two places you will enjoy the extra mass.
Recoil reduction
And the smoothness it will bring to a long crosser. You won’t jump the bird.

I can’t shoot 200 rounds through a light shotgun without fatigue. YMMV
I don’t like feeling beaten up.
