I'm looking to purchase an O/U or SxS 20 gauge with 29"-30" barrels with 15+ LOP cast off english stock. Thanks.

Joel

That's a pretty tall order, Joel, especially so with the need for a straight grip. And, a new gun with a straight grip will not have a 15" LOP, almost guaranteed. Of course, the LOP can be attained by the addition of a pad. But, Cole might could accommodate you by swapping out the buttstock on a 20 ga. 87 SP II Sporting with a straight grip one. Mine, with pistol grip, is my best small bore dove and clays gun ever.

Just curious, do you shoot a straight grip better than a pistol, or semi-pistol?

Good luck! Hope you strike gold.

B. Rizzini "Upland EL Side by Side".

William Larkin Moore in Scottsdale, AZ specifies and imports this configuration.

I have one. 29" barrels, 15" pull, double trigger, fairly high comb stock with a little cast off. 2 3/4" 20 gauge. Just under 6 pounds empty weight. Has the swing dynamics of a heavier gun.

Mine isn't for sale, but you might call WLM.

Stanton,

I have a straight gripped Winchester 23 12 ga. with double triggers and a straight gripped Ruger Red Label 20 ga. that I shoot reasonably well-because they generally fit me. I'm 6'4", hence the need for a 15+" LOP and the desire for 30" barrels. I have an inquiry in to Cole and see that they also remove a pistol grip and convert to a straight grip. I might need to go that route. Thanks.

SJ,

The B. Rizzini Upland EL is a great option. I'll contact William Larkin Moore this week. Thanks for the suggestion.

TL,
You can also order directly from Rizzini USA, if WLM doesn't have what you want or can't get it. Just be prepared to wait. I waited 2 years for a BR550 30" 410. Pre pandemic.

I'll bet you agree that it was absolutely worth the wait, Chuck. That's a beauty. Have you lengthened the f. cones on her?

It seems so long ago now, Stan. The 2 years were a bit, like 2 or 3 times, longer than I was quoted. But yes, it was worth it. I haven't messed with the forcing cones as I believe the bores and chambers are hardchromed.

AFAIK all Italian built guns now have the bores chrome lined. If it patterns good I wouldn't mess with it either. I just remember the fantastic results you got from the chamber lengthening on a .410 years ago.

Best, Stan
