Good morning.

Generally know what the choke number marks mean on the barrel flats but I have never seen a 4/4 mark on one.

I acquired a 26" 16ga set that I want to fit up as an extra barrel to my gun.

On the right side it is 0 for cylinder and on the left side I would expect 4 for full but why the 4/4?

Thanks

Travis

Ithaca used this style of marking in the early Flues days. I think perhaps English influence?? 4/4 is full, 2/4 mod., etc. O and full is ideal in my opinion.

Thanks Walt

I am very happy with this barrel set.

One sad thing is that this was part of a gun that was destroyed and then parts sold. Man I have seen some tragic situations but this would have been a real nice gun.
