Rather than detract from the post by Arrietta2 regarding gun catalogs I thought I would just ask here in a new thread. I have about 10 years worth of Shooting Sportsman magazines. I have only subscribed to DGJ for several years now. Does anyone here think there is a market for the mags I have? They are all in near un-read condition.

Perry,

I had about the same amount of SS mags, about 12-14 years worth from the mid 1990's on.

I sold them in 2019 on one of the gun boards for about $50 plus shipping. Can't remember which one though.

My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income.

Most of my collection was given to the local shooting club. I did sell a few copies advertised on the internet...not much money involved.

As the Archivist for the ASSRA I would like to have the magazines as we have only a few issues of Shooting Sportsman. If you are willing to donate them send me a PM.
Cheers,
Laurie

The American Single Shot Rifle Association (ASSRA) was founded in 1948 as an organization that promotes the responsible use, study and preservation of single-shot rifles. These include original and reproduction arms from the 19th and early 20th centuries as well as rifles of more current design. The ASSRA encourages and coordinates research into the history and lore of single shot rifles to disseminate such knowledge for mutual benefit. This is in part made possible by the vast archives maintained by the ASSRA. The ASSRA sanctions events that hold members to high standards of ethical conduct, promote genuine friendliness, tolerance and mutual respect for each other.

The Archives is funded by the ASSRA and its library is made up of material relating to all types of shooting the catalog of materials in the library is at http://www.librarything.com/catalog/ASSRA
most materials are available for loan. We are dependent on donations of material as well as $$ to keep the door open. Sales of material that is already on the shelves also helps with funding the Archives.

Cheers,
Laurie
