I assume it was a bring back from WW2 if so has it got the claw mounts for a scope or not? When hunters handed in their guns to the allies after the war they mostly took off the scopes first.

Over the years I have read about loads having a major effect on drillings, charge weight, speed , shot size and powder burn rate have been reported as factors. I wood recomend you start with a load as near as the original loads as possible and get ready for many trips to the pattern board.

Hello
Yes, It was missing the scope but I fabricated a claw mount to mount an American scope. The 1-18 shells are out of stock but I will try them when available.
Thanks for all the suggestions,
Dblfixer
