Yesterday I found an unusual gun for my neck of the woods. A friend saw an online ad here for old guns. Among several European military style flintlock pistols there was a 10 bore John Dickson single barrel gun of good quality and in nice shape. I t has a round barrel with Rigby flats at the breech, a back-action lock and a rifle-style quard with iron pistol grip. There's extensive engraving of fine quality and pretty wood with very nice measurements. When I got home with it and checked the serial number, I was surprised and pleased to learn it was a Charles Gordon gun. I'll try to get some photos soon if someone here will post them.
